Prime Minister of Bahrain Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa arrived here on Wednesday for a brief visit along with a delegation accompanying him.
Upon arrival he gave a press statement in which he conveyed the greetings of his government and people to their counterpart in Kuwait, while he emphasized his country's appreciation for Kuwait's support and friendship.
He added that "we, governments and people, face in our region enormous challenges generated by the precipitous hurtling of events which require of us to constantly meet and consult with one another, at the level of governments and heads of state, in order to ensure consensus of opinion and decision among us vis-أ -vis these events." He stressed that such consultations and meetings of the minds will ensure that these events do not distract leaders of the Gulf region from addressing issues crucial to their nations.
In that regard, he said "GCC nations exist in a tough neighborhood, a fact that is not lost on all of us, where quick socio-political changes are taking place that should induce us to deal with them wisely and cooperatively, within the protection of our GCC construct and keeping our people safe and sound."
