The Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon arrived Tuesday morning in Gaza Strip through Erez crossing (Beit Hanoun) to witness the difficult humanitarian situation of the Palestinians in light of the Israeli siege imposed on Gaza for ten years.
According to Palestinian sources, Ban Ki-moon will visit a UN building, prosthetics hospital and a health project. He will also hold a news conference later in the day in the Tel al-Hawa area, west of Gaza City.
Secretary General of the United Nations is scheduled to meet today with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah. This is Ban Ki-moon's final trip to Palestine before his term of office expires in December.
