The trade agreements and foreign trade sector at the Trade and Industry Ministry hosted its first meeting of the joint trade committee between Egypt and New Zealand to discuss ways of boosting trade cooperation.
The meeting was chaired by head of the trade agreements and foreign trade at the Trade and Industry Ministry Saeid Abdullah and Assistant Foreign and Trade Minister in New Zealand Jeff Langley, the ministry said in a statement Saturday.
The meeting also saw the participation of the New Zealand's ambassador to Egypt along with representatives of Egyptian institutions.
The move came to assert the importance of opening up communication channels with the various countries to facilitate trade exchange and overcome obstacles to Egypt's exports, added the statement.
