Chinese president arrives in Luxor

Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Luxor Thursday evening, along with his accompanying delegation.
The visit aims at marking the launch of the 2016 Sino-Egyptian Culture Year.
The Chinese president was received by Civil Aviation Minister Hossam Kamal, Culture Minister Helmy el Namnam, Minister of Antiquities Mamdouh el Damaty and Luxor Governor Mohamed Badr.
Upon his arrival in the ancient city, Jinping headed for Luxor Temple where the celebration, including Egyptian and Chinese artists, will be held. The temple will also host a Sino-Egyptian cultural fair.
