Congolese Prime Minister Matata Ponyo hosted a breakfast in honor of the Egyptian ambassador in Kinshasa at the end of his tenure.
The move shows Congo's appreciation of Egypt's role in developing the country, said the Egyptian Foreign Ministry in a press release on Sunday.
The Congolese official hailed Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el Sisi's vision regarding Egypt's pivotal role in Africa, added the statement.
This came during the Egyptian's diplomat's meeting with Ponyo who was on a visit to Cairo earlier this year.
The Congolese prime minister visited Cairo on February 4-7.
