
Minister of Defense and Military Production Colonel General Sedqi Sobhi inaugurated on Tuesday the Egyptian air force national military museum.
The museum, which is established at Almaza Air Base in Cairo, provides chronicle demonstration of development of Egypt air forces and role played by war planes in several fights.
Commander of the Egyptian Air Force Younis al-Masry opened the ceremony by a speech on the historic value of the force and its role in defending homeland airspace.
A documentary was screened on heroic stories of air force idols and planes used by the Egyptian army in various wars since the inception of the air corps in 1952.
The ceremony was attended by Ministers of Culture and Civil Aviation and Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hijazi.
