Egypt's Ambassador in Ramallah Wael Nasr el-Din Attiya visited Wednesday Al-Khalil (Hebron) province, southern of West Bank.
In statements Wednesday, Attiya said that he came with a support message from the Egyptian leadership and nation for the steadfastedness of the Palestinian people and the hunger-striking prisoners in Israeli jails.
The Egyptian government is following up the conditions of the hunger-striking prisoners in Israeli jails, he affirmed.
The administrative detention runs counter to all international conventions, he added.
The ambassador also met with Al-Khalil governor Kamel Hamid, who posted him on the province conditions and the violations committed by Israeli occupation forces and settlers against the Palestinians.
The governor also briefed the Egyptian ambassadors on the hard conditions of the prisoners inside the Israeli jails.
