
Egypt attended the meetings of the ministers of trade, economy and finance, which are emanating from the meetings of the fourth session of the Arab-African Summit, in in Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea.
A high-level Egyptian delegation under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is attending the summit.
The ministers reviewed aspects of economic cooperation and discussed also a host of economic issues of mutual interest.
In a statement Wednesday, Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil said that the meetings reviewed the joint Afro-Arab plans to attain agriculture development and food security.
The meetings also tackled the possibility of establishing a free trade zone between the Arab and African countries, he added.
