Egypt Mufti: Leaders can not be compared to prophets

Egypt's Grand Mufti Shawqi Allam asserted no leaders cannot be compared to prophets. "Any such act is totally unacceptable," the Mufti said in a statement. Allam's statement appeared to be a rejection to an Azhar professor who has been on a controversial video as drawing a similarity between Defense Minister Field Marshal Abdel-Fatah el-Sisi and Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim to Prophet Moses and Aaron. The Grand Imam of Azhar, Egypt's highest Islamic authority, has criticized the professor in a similar statement.
