
The 19th COMESA Summit kicked off Tuesday in the Madagascan capital city of Antananarivo with the participation of a high-level Egyptian delegation.
The delegation comprised presidential aide for national projects Ibrahim Mahlab, as well as Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Qabil.
The delegation tackled means of bringing about regional integration and promoting mutual trade among the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) member states, Egypt's Trade and Industry Ministry said in a statement.
The ُEgyptian delegation reviewed also the free trade agreement between COMESA, the Southern African. Development Community (SADC) and the East African Community (EAC), the statement added.
