Egyptian Ambassador in Berlin Badr Abdel Atti paid a visit to Munster city in North Rhine-Westphalia state as part of his visit to Germany to promote Egypt politically and economically and help increase the tourism movement.
Abdel Atti delivered a speech at the students' union of the University of Munster with about 150 students, academic people, businessmen and representatives of companies attending.
The speech tackled the latest positive political, economic and security developments in Egypt over the past two years and efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to combat terrorism and provide job opportunities for youth.
Abdel Atti's speech also took up regional conditions in the Middle East region and the Egyptian pivotal role in achieving security and stability in the region.
During his visit to the University of Munster, Abdel Atti met with the director of the excellence center there and its members and discussed Egypt's President Abdel Fattah el Sisi's initiative for renewing religious discourse and strenuous efforts exerted by religious institutions in the country to fight intellectual extremism and boost principles of moderation and tolerance.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian diplomat had talks with the head of the chamber of commerce in Munster about ways of increasing trade cooperation between Egypt and German companies.
