Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry returned home on Sunday after taking part in the second Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) that was held in South Africa with the participation of African leaders and senior officials.
Addressing the forum, the premier underlined the importance of promoting Chinese-African cooperation to serve the two countries' best interests and contribute to development of the African continent.
He expressed hope that the developing nations would be able to have an opinion in the international decision-making process, especially in the UN Security Council.
He condemned all acts of terrorism aiming at intimidating innocent citizens.
The Egyptian premier also held a number of meetings on the sidelines of the forum with African and Chinese officials.
As for Shoukry, he held talks with his Sudanese, Ethiopian, South Sudanese, Ugandan and Moroccan counterparts over Egypt's relations with these countries and regional developments.
