Egypt, he said, plays an important role to achieve regional stability.
In a meeting with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail Tuesday, Seniora also stressed the important role played by Al Azhar in correcting the wrong perception of Muslims in the world.

He also posted Ismail on the latest developments in Lebanon.
Seniora is in Egypt to attend a conference organized by the Arab Thought Foundation in cooperation with the Arab League.
For his part, Ismail praised historical relations between Cairo and Beirut, Cabinet spokesman Hossam Qaweesh said. Ismail stressed Egypt's support for Lebanon and its constitutional institutions, Qaweesh added.
Ismail also appreciated the role played by the former Lebanese premier at the political and intellectual levels, the spokesman further said.

He invited Lebanese businessmen to contribute to projects currently being implemented in Egypt in the field of energy and oil and gas exploration.
