Egyptian Transportation Minister Saad el Gioushy left Saturday here coming back home after a five-day visit to the British capital London.
The minister took part in the meetings of the 29th session of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) where Egypt succeeded in restoring its status as a member in the organization's executive council.
This came after the tremendous efforts exerted by the Egyptian embassy in mobilizing the support of the member countries.
During the visit, el Gioushy met with a number of European and African transportation ministers as well as representatives of some British pioneering companies in the fields of transportation and harbors.
He met also with the representative of the British prime minister for developing commercial relations with Egypt Jeffrey Donaldson as well as the head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
