
HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thaniarrived this evening in the Republic of Tunisia. HH the Emir and his accompanying delegation were greeted upon arrival at Tunis-Carthage International Airport by Tunisia’s President Mohamed Moncef Marzouki.Also present at the Airport to greet HH the Emir were a number of TunisianMinisters, Qatar’s Ambassador to Tunisia HE Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Humaidi,Tunisian Ambassador to Qatar Dr Mohamed Mundhir Zarif , senior officials, and anumber of Arab heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Tunisia.HH the Emir was accorded an official reception ceremony.Upon arrival, HH Emir said in a statement:“I am pleased as I arrived in Tunisia to convey fraternal greetings on behalf of thepeople of Qatar and my personal greetings to the Republic of Tunisia president,government and people, coupled with best wishes of further development andprogress”.“I would also like to express my pleasure to meet with President Mohamed MoncefMarzouki to exchange views and consultations on all matters of interest to our twocountries and issues of concern to the Arab nation”.“I am sure that this visit will contribute to boosting the close fraternal ties andenhancing cooperation between our two countries, for the good and benefit of ourtwo brotherly peoples”, HE the Emir added.
