EU commissioner arrives in Gaza

EU Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn arrived in Gaza on Tuesday on a brief visit.
During the visit, he will inaugurate several EU-funded development projects.
Palestinian sources said the EU official entered the Gaza Strip through the Israeli-controlled Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing.
Upon arrival, Hahn opened a water desalination station in Deir Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
Hahn is scheduled to meet with UN officials and ministers of the Palestinian accord government.
