
The Foreign Ministry launched hashtag #united-on-palmSunday on Twitter to urge support in the face of terrorism, after the blast which hit Mar Gerges Church in Tanta and left at least 22 people killed and several others injured.
"Terrorism hits Egypt again, this time on Palm Sunday. Another obnoxious but failed attempt against all Egyptians," Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said on his Twitter account.
A bomb exploded on Sunday morning in Mar Gerges Church in Tanta, leaving at least 22 people killed and several others injured.
