French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius will visit Cairo on Saturday, where he will meet President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Fabius will also have talks with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry on the same day at a Cairo hotel, sources at the French embassy in Cairo told MENA.
The talks will take up Egyptian-French relations and regional and international issues of common interest, including the Middle East peace process, the Libyan crisis and the situation in Syria and Yemen.
The Cairo visit is part of a regional tour that also covers Jordan, the Palestinian territories and Israel.
