Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, GCC Secretary-General, participated in the opening ceremony of the Munich Security Conference, MSC 2017, which closes later today.
Dr. Al-Zayani said that the conference is reviewing the challenges facing countries to preserve security, stability and international peace, stressing that the global security situation requires the cooperation of the whole international community to confront it.
Wolfgang Ischinger, MSC Chairman, welcomed participants to the MSC's 53rd session, which, he said, will engage them in intensive debates on current and future security challenges.
MSC brings together more than 450 senior decision-makers from around the world, including heads of state, ministers, leaders of international and non-governmental organisations, high ranking representatives of industry, media, academia, and civil society.
