
Arab League (AL) Secretary General Nabil el Araby met with United Nations (UN) Chief Ban Ki-moon on the sidelines of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, held in New York.
The meeting took up the latest developments in Syria, Yemen and Libya, according to a statement issued by the AL.
The two sides tackled also the Palestinian cause and the Israeli violations on Al Aqsa Mosque.
El Araby met with Costa Rica's President Luis Guillermo Solís who underlined that his country looks forward to promoting relations with the AL, the statement said.
The AL chief held a meeting with Norwegian Foreign Minister Børge Brende where they discussed means of activating the suspended Palestinian-Israeli negotiations as well as tough humanitarian conditions in Gaza Strip
