
German Economy Minister Sigmar Gabriel, leading a delegation of 100 businessmen, will start a three-day visit to Cairo on Saturday, said the media director of the German Embassy in Cairo Magdy el-Sayed.
In exclusive statements to MENA, Sayed added that the German minister will discuss with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and other officials means of boosting the joint trade and economic cooperation.
During his visit to Cairo, Gabriel is scheduled to start the Egyptian-German joint economic committee, he indicated.
The German minister is also due to attend a celebration marking the 65th anniversary of establishing the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Egyptian official noted.
