
H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, today opened the Innovative Session, an innovator programme which features 100 local innovations from different areas of the UAE.
The event is an essential part of the innovator programme, a strategic initiative launched by the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee (TDC) to develop creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship in the UAE community.
Sheikh Hamed said the UAE, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has made huge achievements in the area of human resources development, noting that His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, takes interest in the human resources development and sponsoring of the talented through encouraging gifted youth in different disciplines in the service of the nation.
He expressed his satisfaction about the innovations that reflect the UAE sponsorship of the talented and gifted categories.
The Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee plays a vital role in fostering technology through its programmes and strategic initiatives such as the innovative session.
Ahmed Saeed Al Kalili, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee, said, "The sciences, technology and innovation represent the essence of knowledge-based economy, which our country aspires to achieve," adding that the committee oversees the development of human capital in the science, technology and innovation sector through a number of integrated packages of programmes and strategic initiatives to make the UAE one of the most innovative countries in the world.
