Health Minister Ahmed Emad el Din Radi headed for Ismailia on Sunday to help Coptic families who fled North Sinai fearing for their lives after threats by militants there.
The minister is accompanied by a medical convoy to offer necessary medical supplies to the fleeing families who have taken refuge in the Evangelical Church, Health Ministry spokesman Khaled Megahed said.
The convoy includes a number of doctors, medicines and makeshift labs.
For three consecutive days, medical convoys will head for Ismailia to treat for free Coptic families.
Following the rise of militant operations that targeted Coptic citizens in North Sinai city of Al-Arish, 90 Coptic families decided on Friday to leave the city, heading to Ismailia governorate.
