
The Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Foundation's board of trustees has approved an estimated budget of AED27 million for 2017.
Approved at a board meeting chaired by H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, the budget funds the foundation's charitable and humanitarian projects.
Sheikh Ammar directed the board of trustees to launch new creative initiatives and build constructive partnerships with other non-governmental organisations so as to better serve the targeted groups.
HH lauded the efforts of the foundation in taking care of the Emirati family and meeting its requirements.
Sheikha Azza Al Nuaimi, Director-General of the Foundation, presented a feasibility study about the new AED50 million endowment project.
In another report on annual assistance, Al Nuaimi said expenditures and assistance stood at AED18 million from January to November 2016.
The board heard about cases of persons who had failed to meet their financial obligations. The report indicated that the foundation paid debts of 39 defaulters totalling nearly AED1 million.
