Egyptian Immigration Minister Nabila Makram arrived here Tuesday to follow up the latest developments with regard to the detention of a number of Egyptian students in Sudan.
The Sudanese Police recently arrested the Egyptian students over charges of collective cheating in the secondary stage exams.
Makram was received at the airport by Egypt's ambassador in Khartoum Osama Shaltout.
In statements to MENA, Shaltout said that the Egyptian minister will review with the Sudanese officials the ongoing investigations and finding urgent solutions to free 26 Egyptian students as well as six parents charged.
Also, Makram will hold several meetings with officials at the Sudanese Foreign Ministry to discuss the current condition of the Egyptian nationals in Sudan, he added.
