Iraq's Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi will start a two-day visit to Cairo on Sunday.
Abadi will have talks with his Egyptian counterpart Ibrahim Mahlab on ways to promote bilateral ties, said Egypt's Ambassador to Iraq Ahmed Darwish.
This is the first trip by an Iraqi prime minister to Egypt in years, said Darwish, who is currently in Cairo to prepare for the visit.
