
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al Abadi and his accompanying delegation left Cairo on Monday after their one-day visit.
During the visit, Abadi met with Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and briefed them on latest political and security developments in Iraq.
He also expressed hope to promote bilateral relations in the various fields, praising Egypt's vital role on the regional and international levels.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi told the visiting Iraqi PM that Egypt supports the unity and stability of his country and denounces all terrorism acts committed by Daesh and other militant groups there.
