
Ismaeel Al Hammadi was adjudged Emirati Player of the Year while Cosmin Olaroiu was declared coach of the year at the Arabian Gulf League awards function held at the St Regis Abu Dhabi Corniche on Saturday. The event was held under the patronage of Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Honourary President of the UAE FA, and attended by Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development. Sheikh Nahyan joined by Yousuf Al Serkal, President of the UAE Football Association, Mohammed Thani Murshed Al Romaithi, Chairman of the Pro League Committee and Chairman of the Executive Office, and Mohammed Ibrahim Al Mahmood, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Media, presented the awards. The awards presentations began with plaques of appreciation to honour members of the Arabic media for their coverage of the Arabian Gulf League throughout the season, followed by plaques of appreciation for the season's sponsors and partners of the Pro League Committee; Arabian Gulf Development, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, and Audi.
