
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman arrived in Tangier on Thursday at the start of a private visit to the kingdom of Morocco, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.
Before departing the kingdom from Jeddah, King Salman appointed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior, to manage the kingdom’s affairs in his absence.
The king was received at Ibn Battouta Airport in Tangier by Moroccan House of Representatives Speaker Rashid Talibi Al-Alami, Tangier Governor Tetouan Mohamed Jacobite, and a number of Moroccan officials.
He was also welcomed by Saudi Ambassador to Morocco Abdulaziz bin Mohiddin Khoja, Saudi military attaché to Morocco Brig. Nabil Al-Aabid and the Saudi Embassy staff.
The King was accompanied by a number of princes, Minister of Finance Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf and other senior, civil and military officials.
