
Well-known Lebanese singer and actress Sabah passed away early Wednesday at the age of 87.
Sabah's real name was Jeanette Gergis Al-Feghali. She was born in 1927 in the small Lebanese village of Wadi Shahrour and was educated in Sacre College du Sacre Coeur in Gemmayze, Beirut and performed in 83 Egyptian and Lebanese films as well as 27 plays and produced more than 3,000 songs.
Sabah was the second Arab Diva after Um Kulthum to performe on Olympia in Paris with Romeo Lahoud's band in the 70s as well as performing other famous stats such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Piccadilly Theatre in London and Sydney Opera House in Sydney.
