Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita on Sunday arrived in Algeria on a three-day visit to Algeria at an invitation of his Algerian counterpart Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
This visit “is part of long-standing fraternity, solidarity and good neighbouring ties between the Algerian and Malian people,” said the Algerian Presidency in a communiqué.
It will be an opportunity for the two heads of State “to consult on various issues of common interest including those relating to peace, security and cooperation in the Sahel-Sahara zone, in particular the outcome of the mediation led by Algeria for restoring peace in Northern Mali,” it added.
