Man arrested for attempting to smuggle alcohol into Oman

A man has been arrested for attempting to smuggle alcohol into the country, the Royal Oman Police announced on Wednesday.
The man had allegedly concealed the bottles under the hood of his vehicle while attempting to cross into Buraimi.
Buraimi Police officers said they seized a quantity of 34 alcohol bottles and a case of alcohol.
Legal proceedings were taken against the accused, and the case has been referred to the prosecution for further investigations.
