MCE dispatches peace convoy to France to entrench values of dialouge

The peace convoy under the auspices of the Muslim Council Of Elders (MCE) headed to France on Sunday, Al Azhar has said. 

This is the third phase of the peace convoys which are dispatched to several foreign countries in the continents of Africa, Asia, Europe and the US under the auspices of Al Azhar Grand Imam Dr Ahmed el Tayyeb. 

The convoy is scheduled to organize several activities and proceedings during its visit to a number of French cities in order to entrench the values of dialogue, peace and peaceful coexistence among the members of the various communities. 

Members of the convoy will meet with several representatives of the French House of Commons and the head of Christian Democratic Party along with a host of ambassadors. 

Under the rubric of the role of clergymen in entrenching the culture of peace, members of the convoy will deliver a lecture at the Catholic University of Paris.
