Migration Minister Nabila Makram returned home from Sudan Thursday.
The Sudanese authorities had promised to release the Egyptian students who were arrested over leaking school secondary exams in Khartoum, which start next week, the Egyptian minister had told the students' parents.
Contacts on the highest level were made between the two sides over the issue, she said, adding that the Sudanese authorities pledged to release the detained students after her extensive talks with officials during her three-day visit of Khartoum.
Makram is expected to return to Khartoum next week to follow up the students' release procedures.
