Mohammed bin Rashid receives Pope Tawadros II

Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum yesterday at his Zabeel Palace received His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, and the members of the delegation accompanying him. Welcoming Pope Tawadros II, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid emphasised that UAE stands by the brotherly people of Egypt in all circumstances. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the role clergymen play to achieve rapprochement between the followers of different religions and to consolidate the principles of tolerance, love and peace between all peoples of the world. On his part, Pope Tawadros II expressed to H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid his thanks for UAE for its humanitarian and national positions for the Egyptian people.
