Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will honour 45 Emirati pioneers and distinguished organisations taking part in the ‘Year of Reading’, at the 3rd edition of UAE Pioneers Award 2016, which will be held on Monday 28th November 2016.
The Award celebrates the pioneers’ important contributions to the nation in various fields at a national ceremony coinciding with the 45th National Day celebrations held in Abu Dhabi.
The honour seeks to enhance the concept of honouring distinguished Emiratis, and is held on a yearly basis to strengthen the UAE citizen's love, and their striving to rank first in new domains.
Since its beginning, the initiative has honoured 87 personalities and entities for their achievements. It also sheds light on the achievements of Emiratis who worked hard and with loyalty since the establishment of the union in raising the UAE flag.
For the two previous years, the UAE Pioneers Award saw the honouring of a host of Emirati pioneers in innovation and inventions, as well as persons of initiative and achievements. The honorees were included in the book of "UAE Pioneers" in commemoration of their relentless efforts to serve the UAE.
