
Moroccan Minister of Environment Abdelkader Amara said she will participate in the Cairo conference on climate change, slated for April.
The conference falls within the framework of preparations for the Marrakech Climate Change Conference on November 7 through 18.In an interview with MENA correspondent in Morocco, Amara said she reviewed preparations for the conference with her Egyptian counterpart Khaled Fahmy during his visit to Rabat last week.
The Cairo conference will tackle financial mechanisms and a roadmap for implementing the Paris agreement, topped by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The talks will also review preparations for the Marrakech conference in which about 25,000 delegates from 167 states are expected to take part.
Meanwhile, she noted that Egypt is a pioneering Arab state in various domains, noting that she is fascinated by the monuments, arts and great songs of Adel Wahab, Um Kolthom, etc.
