
There are over 700,000 Bangladeshi workers in the Sultanate of Oman, according to National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) data.
At the end of March 2017, the number of Bangladeshis stood at 704,254 while the number of Indians was 689,201 and the number of Pakistani expats was at 235,769.
Almost four years ago, in November 2013, the number of Bangladeshis in Oman was 496,761 while the number of Indians was 600,349.
The other expat communities in Oman are Ethiopians, Indonesians, Filipinos, Egyptians, Nepalese and Sri Lankans.
