
His Majesty’s Representative for Youth and Sports Affairs His Highness Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa visited the Youth City 2030.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs is organizing the eighth edition, in cooperation with the strategic partner Labour Fund – Tamkeen.
HH Shaikh Nasser was keen on joining the Youth City 2030 participants in celebrating the International Youth Day, being held this year under the theme “Youth Building Peace”. Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs Hesham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder attended.
HH Shaikh Nasser, also Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President, toured different sections and was briefed about the programmes lined up by the leadership building centre.
He was also updated about the programmes of the Science and Technology Centre as well as the Media and Arts Centres. .
He congratulated the youth on the International Youth Day, which falls on August 12, pointing out that the world youth, including Bahrainis, aspire to live in a world in which security, safety, peace, co-existence and sustainable development prevail.
He stressed the importance of the professional and advanced programmes lined up at the Youth City 2030, which provides the opportunity for the youth to take part in building Bahrain’s bright future.
He commended Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs Hesham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder for his strenuous efforts to ensure the success of youth initiatives.
