Oman Air, the national carrier of Oman, has appointed Goldair SA as its GSA to the Greek market.
The event was celebrated at a reception in Athens, in the presence of Greek travel agencies and media representatives.
Abdulrahman Al-Busaidy, chief commercial officer at Oman Air, commented: “We are absolutely delighted with the appointment of Goldair SA and Oman Air’s expansion into the Greek market. Our flight network is ever expanding and we are very much looking forward to transporting both corporate and leisure passengers from Greece and opening a new network for the market.”
Goldair Group MD Kostas Tsovilis welcomed the entry of Oman Air to the Greek market and stressed the importance of opening a new network in the country. The extensive network of Oman Air will greatly facilitate the movement of seamen as well as transport of corporate and leisure passengers.
Oman Air’s Regional VP for Europe Rogier de Jager underlined the major role Oman Air has played since its founding in 1993 in making Muscat a key traffic hub in the Middle East. Oman Air supports the sultanate's commercial, industrial and tourism sectors.
The airline currently operates direct international flights from Muscat to Madinah, Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, Tehran, Mashhad and Kuwait, in the Gulf region, as well as Cairo, Beirut and Amman within the wider MEA region.
Oman Air flies to destinations in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. The airline also flies to Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Jakarta, Zanzibar and Dar Es Salaam. Its European destinations are London, Milan, Munich, Frankfurt, Paris and Zurich.
