
Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, has begun a two-day official visit to Iran, on Sunday, upon the invitation of President of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, said Foreign office. The meeting will provide the two sides with an opportunity to review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments of mutual interest, said Foreign Office press release. The visit will focus on strengthening economic ties between Pakistan and Iran. The existing bilateral trade will be reinforced through initiatives aimed at enhancing physical connectivity between the sides. A number of agreements on cooperation in various fields will also be signed during the visit, said the release. "The visit of the Prime Minister to Iran will not only provide a political affirmation to our bilateral relations, but would also set a forward trajectory for their future course," the release added
