
Prime Minister Sherif Ismail received Monday UN Assistant Secretary General Philippe Douste-Blazy, who is nominated to be secretary general of World Health Organization.
The meeting was attended by the Egyptian health minister and French ambassador in Cairo.
Ismail welcomed the nomination of Blazy in the WHO, asserting Egypt's readiness to play more positive role in the organization.
Meanwhile, Blazy said that he is conducting a tour to support his nomination for the WHO's post in the election that will be held in May 2017.
Blazy asserted that he has several new ideas to support the work of WHO during the coming period.
