Pope Tawadros heads for Kuwait

Egypt's Coptic Orthodox Pope Tawadros II left here on Sunday for Kuwait at an invitation from Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jabir Al Sabah.
Pope Tawadros is expected to attend the launching of a new cathedral in Kuwait and lead two masses.
Pope Tawadros' visit to Kuwait crystallized the depth of relations between the two countries at all levels.
During his five-day visit, the pope will meet with Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed, Crown Prince Nawaf al Ahmad, Kuwaiti Speaker Marzouk al Ghanem and top Kuwaiti officials.
