Pope Tawadros II, the 118th Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the Apostolic See of St. Mark, opened on Thursday Martyr Stephanos Church in Qus city of Qena governorate.
The launching was also attended by a number of bishops, priests and citizens.
On Tuesday evening, Pope Tawadros arrived here on a four-day visit.
On Wednesday, Pope Tawadros opened the Saints Peter and Paul Church in Al Shoon area in Qena in the presence of a number of security and executive leaderships.
