Christmas is a joyful event to the whole society not to Christians only, Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese said Monday.
During a meeting with Coptic Catholic Patriarch of Alexandria Ibrahim Isaac Sidrak and his accompanying delegation at the Orthodox Cathedral in Abbassiya, Pope Tawadros II said Christmas extends from December 25 to January 7 (Eastern Christmas).
He said he was happy with the frequent meetings with pastors of the Catholic Church, saying that 'fraternity love" is the main relationship in life.
For his part, Patriarch Ibrahim said they were different in terms of opinions but they are always united in love, prayers and work.
Pope Tawadros II visited the Catholic patriarchal headquarters on December 25 to extend Christmas greetings.
