Pope Tawadros leaves for Russia on pastoral visit

Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark left here on Tuesday for Russian on a four-day pastoral visit that will run till November 4.
The pontiff will meet with Patriarch Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russians for talks on cooperation between the two churches.
He will also discuss the official listing of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Russia in order to build the first Orthodox Church there.
Pope Tawadros II will hold a Mass in Moscow on November 2 and will meet with a number of political figures at the Russian government.
