President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika "continues his convalescence at a facility in Paris," said Friday French President Francois Hollande, and hoped that he can return to Algeria "as soon as possible." "It’s not up to me to give medical bulletins about the health of President Bouteflika. But I can say that he was indeed at Val-de-Grace military hospital and he is now convalescing at the Invalides facility, where he is receiving all the necessary care. I hope he can return to his country as soon as possible," Hollande said Friday on France 24, RFI and TV5 Monde TV channels. As regards bilateral relations, the French president said that "he has very good relations with President Bouteflika and Algerian authorities." Algeria "has substantial means and resources, as well as growth and development potentials that can help further enhance relations between the two countries."
