
President of the Republic of Seychelles Danny Faure visited Wahat Al Karama (Oasis of Dignity) memorial, built to honour UAE's martyrs and their sacrifices to defend the country and its achievements, on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi.
He was accompanied by Ahmed Saeed Al Neyadi, Acting Charge d'affairs of the UAE Embassy in Seychelles.
President of Seychelles was received by Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Director of the Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court. Faure inspected the guard of honour and laid a wreath at the Memorial.
He then toured the Memorial and also visited the Pavilion of Honour, where he was briefed by Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun about the Pavilion that has names of the UAE martyrs and Quranic verses engraved on its mural.
He concluded the tour with writing a statement in the book of honour
