
Personal Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa honoured today winners of his and his children ’s cups in the 17th horse riding race which was staged on the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club’s track in Raffah, Sakhir.
Shaikh Nasser presented the winners with their trophies, in the presence of National Guard Commander Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa.
First stage cup went to rider Zouhair Majid, second stage cup to horse trainer Fawzi Nass, third stage cup to horse trainer Yousef Taher, fourth stage cup to Shaikh Sultan Eddine bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, Fifth stage cup to horse trainer Allen Smith, sixth stage cup to the assistant of horse trainer Aqeel Hassan and Seventh and eighth stages cups to Shaikh Nasser’s Children Shaikh Hamad and Shaikh Mohammed bin Nasser Al Khalifa.
Shaikh Nasser received a commemorative gift from representatives of non-government associations for people with special needs in tribute for his humanitarian initiatives and outstanding role in supporting people with special needs.
Shaikh Nasser praised good organisation of the race, commending the efforts of the high authority of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club.
He also stressed keenness to hold the races under the theme "Nasser bin Hamad’s Humanitarian Initiative" as an embodiment of the set up goals to take advantage of such activities in backing humanitarian and social aims.
He congratulated the winners, wishing them every success.
