
Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali on Wednesday paid a visit to El Demerdash hospital, where some of the injured in Cairo's church blast are receiving treatment.
The minister inquired after the healrh of the injured and made sure they are receiving proper medical care. She voiced readiness to provide all forms of support to them.
In statements to MENA on Wednesday, Wali said compensations would be offered to the wounded and to the martyrs' families immediately after the prosecution completes investigation.
Ain Shams University hospitals have received 55 people wounded in the terrorist attack that targeted El Boutrosiya Coptic Orthodox Church in Abbasiya, said Dr. Mahmoud el Meteini, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.
Only 13 cases are left, he said, noting that they are all receiving treatment in intensive care units.
Twenty-five people were killed while 49 others were injured in an explosion inside El Boutrosiya Church during Sunday mass.
The Boutrosiya Church is only meters away from the St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Abbasiya district in Cairo.
